Join us as a Horticulture Sales Agronomist

Bardee is on the hunt for an incredible Horticulture Sales Agronomist who’s excited to supercharge their career and bring new, sustainable fertiliser products to the Australian market.


This is a full-time position with equity in the company and attractive performance based incentives, reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.

Bardee’s certified organic fertiliser, Superfly, has launched across Australia direct to growers and through distributors and we are now ready to substantially grow the number of farmers using Superfly to rebuild their soil and grow more food. As the only company in Australia capable of producing black soldier fly (BSFL) frass fertiliser in volume, we have a unique opportunity to bring these crop and soil benefits, that cannot be replicated through other fertiliser production methods,, to the Australian market. There are exciting new product development and large commercial partnerships in the pipeline that'll help you be successful in this role.

Recently, Bardee was also certified to produce carbon credits by the Australian Government Clean Energy Regulator (CER) in a global landmark case and we announced our plans to build a fertiliser mega factory here in Australia, producing 100 tonnes of fertiliser per day.

Outcomes you’ll own in this role:

  • Identifying opportunities for Superfly fertiliser in the Horticulture and Agriculture market across Australia, and collaboratively developing and executing sales strategies to hit seasonal targets.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, distributors, retail partners, agronomists, consultants and industry groups to make the performance and benefits of Superfly fertiliser known across Australia.
  • Provide on-farm and remote agronomic and technical support as well as localised product demonstrations to enable the adoption of Superfly fertiliser with different crops and farming systems.

Skills & experience that’ll help you succeed:

  • Ability to build and maintain long-lasting relationships across the Australian agricultural and horticulture industry through high-integrity business development and a love for helping people. 
  • Experience supporting farmers to adopt sustainable farming inputs or regenerative farming practices. 
  • Ambition to have an impactful career in Australian Agriculture by being responsible for the adoption of sustainable fertiliser inputs, improved soil health and increased yields on farms. 
  • Excellent time management and open communication.

Must haves:

  • A tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in sales and previous experience in an agronomy role.
  • Unrestricted current driver’s license.
  • Able to travel regularly.
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
